Community
From teachers to preachers and everyone in between we believe a strong community is essential to living life off the street. That is why we stand alongside local community members through trainings and real community engagement in order to bring about life change.
Education
Education is about more than sitting in a classroom. It is learning how to heal from trauma and how to reengage in family life. Sometimes it is learning how to run a small business or take care of oneself through proper hygiene. For whatever phase of life they’re in, education will help guide them in their next steps.
Home
We partner with children’s homes run by local community members and we support them in their efforts to change their community for the better. However, home is where the heart is and reintegrating children back to their home will always be our first priority so that there is always space for the most desperate cases of homelessness where no suitable, safe family environment is available.
Meeting Needs
Street-associated children have many unmet needs. From food and water to addiction or trauma counseling we want to meet their needs where they are. While we don’t want to make life on the street easy, we do believe they deserve their basic human rights to be upheld including the right to medical care, shelter, food, water, and safety. No child or young adult will be denied these services based on tribe, gender, race, or religion.
